im missing from my house for four days cox of my church camp..i won write the details cox is really very long...however..i mus say that pastor matt fielder is a very good pastor..even though i wanted to fall asleep sometimes but is because im really very tired not that his preachin is boring..^^..aniwae..i should post about a story that pastor matt said..is about how much faith a one should have in God.. and mind u, this is a real story
there was a camp somewhere in singapore but i forgot where le..
a group of non-christian was very unhappy with the christians faith, so they went into the camp and told the pastor"deny ur faith in christ or i will chop off ur arms." However, the pastor was not shaken by this threat. He said "I will not deny my faith in christ"and so, they chop off his arms. He was screaming in agony and all the kids in the camp was terrified too. It was chaos in the camp. The pastor was bleeding profusely and those non-christians ask him again," one more chance. deny ur faith in christ or we will chop off your legs" And again, the pastor replied "I will not deny my faith in christ." So they chop off his legs and killed him. After they kill him, they turn and told the children,"u had seen what we done, so deny ur faith in christ or we will do the same to u" At this point of time, a young man stood up and said "we will not deny our faith in christ." And so, the non-christians killed him and alot more of campers there until at a point of time they got scared and flee away.
thats the end of the story. what do u think? that they are stupid to keep insisting their faith in christ and had to die because of it? or betray God by denying him and got save by it? to tell the truth, whatever we had done here in this world, God will be able to see it. We must have faith in him, and continue on our faith for him in this world. We could not bring anything from this world until we die, so store our treasures in the kingdom of God. As said in matthew 6:19-20["Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."] Thus, those who were killed were not foolish. They had their trust in God and now they had gone up to meet with Him and get rewarded.
In matthew 13:31-32, [" The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest if garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches"] is just like our faith. even if it started out as small as a mustard seed, it will grow bigger and bigger. Jesus said, if ur faith is as small as a mustard seed, u can tell the mountain to move from a place to another and it will do jus it. Faith is a strong thing...
ok im done..not like anione is gonna read it but anyway, for those who come and read my blog..i jus urge u to think of the meaning behind this post..
